What we keep, and why

Privacy

Effective 26 August 2026. Learnt is operated by Learnt Solutions LLC. The short version: we keep what the product needs to work, we don’t sell it, and you can have it deleted.

What we store

• Account: your email address and login credentials (passwords are hashed by our auth provider; we never see them).
• Your learning: the courses you build, your answers and confidence ratings, your review history, and your notes — that is the product.
• Billing: your purchase and subscription history, and a customer reference at our payment processor. Card numbers live with the payment processor, never with us.
• Operations: logs of course generation (costs, errors, timings) so we can fix failures and honor refunds, and basic page-view counts with country-level location — no advertising trackers, no cross-site anything.

Who touches it

We use a small set of third-party service providers, each doing one job: payment processing, database and login infrastructure, hosting, background job processing, email delivery, and the AI provider that writes course questions — which receives video captions, never your identity. We also use YouTube’s public APIs for video metadata and captions. Every provider processes your data only on our instructions. We don’t sell or rent your data to anyone, and we don’t use your notes or answers to train AI models.

Emails

We email you when your course is ready for review or finished, for receipts and billing notices, and occasionally about meaningful product changes. No marketing drip campaigns.

Your controls

Export your notes any time from a course’s Export button. To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@learnt.courses from your account address — deletion removes your courses, progress, notes, and profile; billing records required by law are kept for the legally required period. The same address answers any question this page doesn’t.
